The problem is CHOICE.
I am writing a post after a very long time. Just got some motivation to write and suddenly my life is kind of more happening too.
I am gonna write very little about the topic I had chosen though. When I heard this in MATRIX, I thought its just yet another dialouge. Nope its not. People get confused only when you give them a choice. Have any of us asked why you go to 8th std after 7th std?. Talking about MATRIX there is yet another dialogue which was the most used dialogue in my college time spoof's and culturals. Its something like "I can only show you the way. You have to go in". They intend a PUN most of the time. Atleast keanu had this morpheus to show the way. I am still waiting for my morpheus and surely for TRINITY. Who wants morpheus if I get a TRINITY? :-)
Speaking of choices, I wont completely disagree on availability of choices too. Coz without choices there cannot be changes. And without changes life is just a flat high way. No twist or turns. Last one year my life has seen a lot of bumpy rides, both +ve and -ve. This year is turning out to be the most eventful year of mine from my birth. Every month has its own story. And I like my life to be of that way. I dont want a NORMAL plain boring life. After all there is only one.
Now I am on a official visit to mumbai. There are lot of firsts when I started to mumbai from b'lore: first flight, first time I am visiting some place outside south india and this is my first business visit too. I got put up in a hotel in COLABA. I really like this hotel guys thought process. They have thought what all a lazy_business_man would need at what time with a least amount of physical and mental effort. I really liked their thinking. Let me give an example. Generally there will be a window just near the toilet seat. This room is in the middle of the hotel and they cant have a window there. What they did is they hanged a painting similar to this pic just with a chair and a window. Not that the window painting there would be of great use. But still their thinking rocks.
My client office is at NARIMAN POINT. The best thing about this place is the sea view. And real estate has boomed, booming and will boom here. Is this sea view that important for business. NO IDEA. After all software/consultants dont look at outside this 14*14 monitor. But still the skyline looks great in the nite, very much resembling the NEW YORK city. With almost all space taken up in Nariman point, I dont know if anybody in here has plans to get some more buildings into the sea. They can then say "City view apartments" with the flats inside the sea. LOL.
I thought Mumbai is a place of Bollywood stars, Business men, share market brokers, son of bloddy business men who vroom their sports cars in the streets. But I was wrong. There is a huge crowd of working class here and they just work, commute in the train, eat and sleep. And people here have a new measure for distance. Its the number of stations they got to travel instead of KMs. Mumbai hasnt impressed me much and I havent seen much in here too. Probably its coz I dont have much of my friends here or I am very new to this place. Mumbai and bangalore are like apple and orange. You cant compare them. Its just that they are different and are good in their own ways.
I did visit Gateway of India, Taj hotel (just opposite to Gateway, this looks much glossy than the Gateway itself) Juhu beach, Infinity Mall, Bandra for the time I had got on friday before starting to Delhi.
More on this later...
