V a c a t i o n III

Just a thought. Why not have some spaces in between (as in title) so that vacation can be made a little long.

After so much of nostalgia in my trivandrum visit, started to chengannur to visit my cousin brother. Just stayed for a day and was back 2 b'lore the next day. Finally I made all of them believe I do exist. I have 3 more days of vacation leave to be spent in b'lore. I usually keep this transition from just-do-nothing days to try-to-be-busy-in-work days. This is the time I usually wake up late in front of the television, have a brunch, do things whenever I wanted to. I dont know whether I have got addicted to cosmopolitan stuff like multiplex movies, coffee day, time-pass-malls of b'lore. Probably I am. These are some of the places I see people to be atleast happy. And Ya I am a crowd lover. There are only two types of people in these malls (courtesty: Bunty-aur-Babli):

1) Guys who have a g.f and need a safe place to coochy-coochy (you ppl know what :-) ) and spend time hiding from their parents watchful eyes.

2) Guys who do not have a g.f and doesn't have any f???ing thing to do other than visiting some of these malls in a typical weekend.

The second type can be compared to a camel which takes all the water it requires for the next entire-look-busy-working-corporate-days. I wonder where all those chicks I see in those malls, work? I dont see any of them in my office. My friends also say the same. Or Is the grass always green in the other side of the road?

So much for my observations.

Btw my friend (owner of the digi CAM I took) told me I cud have used the normal batteries. uuuuffffff. Man, I spent half of my vacation searching for those exotic batteries.

Then I went to this movie of Imraan - 'Aksar'. uuuuuuuufffff.. Man as my URL says give us a break guys. We (atleast I) are sick of two guys-one gal-one murder-final twist kind of stories. Songs were really peppy. Udita goswani at her best. Off late I have started liking Himesh-Reshammiya except for his "oooooooooooooooooo" nostrel shouts. But ya makes well for party songs. On the verge of completing my vacation, peped up my life with some real good food. Bangalore rocks in food and wine.

Finally when I arrived at my office @ 9 am on a typical monday morning, I can hear the entire crew say

"Welcome to the real world!!!"

My recent vacation II

After having spent 23 hours in paramakudi, I started to tirunelveli for my visit to another aunt. Tried getting that stupid AA battery again on the way in madurai. I could hear god say "NO-way-kid". huh? Very tiresome ride and spent some 4 hours in my aunt's place I hope b4 I started to visit my grandpa and grandma in a nearby town. My grandpa had shifted the house some time back. The local people helped me a lot in finding his house. These people really had lot of time to help others, unlike b'lorians. I am not saying b'lore ppl are inimicable. But I still wonder y they always lead u in the opposite direction, if u ask them abt some address in here. Do they really enjoy putting other ppl's life into trouble or they really dont know the way. But y cant they say a "NO" if they really dont know. God knows.

Anyways one simple corporate observation: PEOPLE TURN INTO RESOURCES (typical HR terms) WHEN THEY CAN CONVERT TIME INTO MONEY AND THAT SHOULD EXPLAIN IT ALL.

Spent the day there in my grand pa's place. And started to trivandrum next day. For some reason, I like kerala. The green trees, the musical language, the (fairer gender) people and all that. I had been in trivandrum for some 2 months for my TCS training. Quite a good place. I visited the Techno park, the cool hostel we lived in etc., Damn I cudnt get those idiotic batteries even in trivandrum. Couldnt take any pics. Anyways this is how the tcs techno park training centre look like.

I really had a nice time with the group of Mr.A, Mr.S, Miss.S and Miss.M. Mr.A has the tendency of being always with gals. I dnt know whether dat cud be a reason I was along with him :-) Mr.S is new to the south and is the room mate of Mr.A. Miss.S is the room mate of Miss.M who is well guarded by Mr.A at all times. Miss.M is known for her thousands of expressions that go in her face in a span of 5 mins talk with any 1 in this world. She is just a little cute and beautiful having the same name as my (EX-)BIG-TIME-CRUSH-MBA-GAL (EX is still not decided :-)). I know going behing a MBA gal is too much for me in my col days. But ya it did happen. Coincidence plays its part. I saw her in b'lore y'day out of no where. That's another story.

After visiting the techno park I went to the TCS hostel where I had stayed with my batch mates. I went to the canteen, the unforgettable-lobby-where-I-made-another-Miss.M-part-of-my-fav-friend-list or rather her fav-friends-list (this is the difficult part I guess). Nostalgia struck. The HDFC atm where I took my first salary out, the shopping complex where I had gone to shopping with Miss. A and another Miss.M, the coffee shop where Me and our group have coffee on the way from technopark to our hostel, the hotel chennai only-place-of-non-coconut-oil-food, the nearby daba wala where we have our gobi, paratta, milkshakes etc for economic reasons, the nearby temple which I visit only for the sweet sakkarai pongal they gave and all that. I did call up my batch ppl from trivandrum and they were really happy to see the '0471' flashing on their screens.

Vacation to be continued..

My recent vacation I

For the level of my visits to my relatives in the recent past, even my grandpa and grandma have started introducing me to others as a distant relative. I dont know whether they really meant the distance between bangalore and paramakudi. So I had planed a vacation to all my relatives just to show them that I still live in this earth with this kind of face, hairstyle and physique.
I had booked a train from b'lore 2 madurai. All set for my train on the friday nite from b'lore. As usual lazyed around in starting, took an auto fearing b'lore traffic. Finally reached station just b4 some 5 mins of departure. Indian trains known for their punctuality was late by just half an hour. Thank god. And finally it arrived. I just felt the day was the worst I can ever have whn I saw my compartment. It was all dirty. It had rained in mysore. And I heard all my beloved country mates have really enjoyed the ride by having groundnut and were playing catch-catch with the shells of it. Oh god wht next. I searched each and every store for some newspaper. Bad luck again. None of them had anything. The funny part is they dont even want to hear you, if they cannot business (or money) with u. The train had started and I cudnt sit anywhere. So dirty the seats were. Infact I myself felt like standing on 4 legs with my bag put up on back like a donkey for the level to which I was luking for some paper to clean that place. Finally I snatched some paper from one of the guy who was having his parcel dinner package and cleaned the place. There u go. Nextly a guy opposite to me started talking all nonsense. He is a tamil. And some how by my luks people always think I am a north indian. I dont know whether i should take it as a compliment here. So I maintained my image by talking only in english for all the questions he had asked me to bring me into the (sick) conversation he was making with the fellow passengers. Man, this guy really needs something to be put up in his mouth. He talked abt politics, bangalore weather, roads, how cosmopolitan it has become, and all stupid crap. One of the other fellow passenger possibly a s/w engineer too, really went on a toss for the entire nite. Some ready made chapathi for dinner and I have peacefully slept.

Finally I have reached paramakudi thru madurai. For the uninitiated It is our kamalhassan's native. Reached my grandma's place at arnd 11 am. The latest addition to the house, my cousin's daughter took just an hour to get well comfortable with me. She is really cute and too intelligent for her age. Bought her some chocolates. Took some digipics. After 3 pics have been taken the battery is down. I spent some 2-3 hrs in the entire place to get the same type of AA batteries. Bad luck. I could nt get it. Dropped the idea of taking any more pics in paramakudi. And went to the temple in the nite dat day with my aunt. My aunt knows the entire place in paramakudi. Not to mention the people. I have seen atleast 10 to 15 of them talking with her on the way to the temple. She really knows a lot of them in that place. Being a teacher is one advantage she had. Btw I dnt even know (or do i care?) who lives in my neighbourhood. Software engineers just convert their time into money. And I am one among them. I always feel I have been missing some thing or the other in life being a s/w engineer. But then in here people (or most of the people) dont chose careers. Its the career which chooses people. There was a funny incident at my house. The power has just gone off and one of my room mate tried to light up a candle. Unluckily he cudnt get a match stick, so went to the neighbour's hours and rang the bell. The neighbour (a lady) didnt even cared who is at the door and cooly said "No body @ home. Come later". Height of cosmopolitism.

I think I have take a deep turn from my vacation experiences. It wud be continued in the next post. Btw guys do share wht u feel abt my blogs.
